Below you’ll find a special list of frequently asked questions and their answers. Please take a look to see if your question is addressed here. Q. When will my order ship?

A. If the items that you ordered are in stock, your order will ship from our fulfillment center within three business days.

Q. How will my order ship, and when will I receive it?

A. Packages are processed from our fulfillment warehouse on the East Coast of the United States in three ways:

  • PETA's Super Saver U.S Postal Service shipping costs the least and will take up to four weeks to arrive. (Note: This shipping method does not provide tracking numbers.)
  • If you choose PETA's UPS shipping, your package will arrive in up to eight business days. (Note: This shipping method provides a tracking number.)
  • Need it fast? Choose PETA's UPS Express shipping option—you will receive your order within three business days of when it is processed. (Note: This shipping method provides a tracking number.)

Packages to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and P.O. boxes are always shipped via the U.S. Postal Service, which does not provide tracking numbers. International orders can take up to six weeks to be received, depending on their transit through Customs operations. Because the U.S. Postal Service does not offer tracking for shipments, PETA is not able to provide tracking information for packages that are shipped using the Super Saver method or if the package was shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or a P.O. box. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Q. Will I be able to track my order?

A. If you select the UPS or the UPS Express shipping method, you will be able to track your order. The Super Saver method and all international orders are unable to be tracked.

Q. What are the shipping costs and sales tax for my online or mail in order?

A.  Please refer to the below chart to calculate your shipping charges. Some states require the addition of sales tax to the overall total of your order, including shipping. To determine if sales tax is applicable in your state, please refer to the chart here.

Q. How do I use my promotional code discount?

A. Promotional codes can be applied to an order via the submission box found in the upper-left corner of the shopping basket page. However, if you're writing because you have already submitted your order, please know that PETA will apply the promotion to your order and it will be reflected on the packing slip included with your shipment. Please note that there is a limit of one promotional code per order. Discounts apply to the true merchandise total value only and are not applied to shipping and handling fees or taxes.

Q. Is my credit card charged when I enter my order?

A. Yes and no. Your credit card will be “validated” and your order amount will be “reserved” by your credit card company, but it will not actually be “charged” until we confirm your order as “shipped.” If items are out of stock, you will not be charged for them until they ship. And, there are no additional shipping charges for back orders when they release.

Q. How do I know if something’s on back order?

A. Because of security concerns, you are not entering your order into our actual system database, so there is no way for you to tell online whether all items are in stock. Most of our merchandise is always in stock, but there are times when items will be on back order. We will notify you on your invoice, and we will also send you an e-mail within one business day to notify you if any of your requested items are out of stock, along with an estimated ship date. To ensure that you receive any important messages from PETA Catalog Customer Service, please make sure that CustomerService@peta.org is added to your address book or e-mail “safe” list.

Q. What is your return policy, and do you provide return labels?

A. PETA has a 100 percent guarantee on all merchandise orders for 60 days. You can return an item for credit, exchange, or refund. We have a very low return rate, so we are not currently including return labels in our orders. We accept exchanges postage-free (i.e., you pay to send in your return, but you will not be charged additional postage on the replacement; we will ship out the exchange item postage-free). Return items can be sent to: PETA Catalog Returns, 501 Front St., Norfolk, VA 23510.

Q. Which T-shirt size should I order?

A. PETA carries a variety of T-shirt types. The regular cotton T-shirts in adult sizes are unisex and sized larger (for men). The “classic girl” and the “girly” tees run in junior sizes. Girly sizes are more fitted than unisex and run quite small. You may wish to order at least one size larger than usual. The youth shirts are sized as follows: Small (6-8), Medium (10-12), and Large (14-16). Each T-shirt record contains a link to the appropriate T-shirt sizing chart.

Q. Do I have to pay by credit card?

A. To order online, you will need a VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card. However, we will gladly take your order by mail or by phone. You can print out your order form and ship it with a check or money order made out to PETA (in U.S. funds) to: PETA Catalog, 501 Front St., Norfolk, VA 23510 USA. Or call 757-622-7382, extension 8300, to order by phone Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. eastern standard time.

Q. Will my order help PETA?

A. PETA is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation funded almost exclusively by the contributions of our members, and as such your PETA Catalog purchase helps to support our vital work to help animals worldwide.
